Evolving a 40-Year-Old Environmental Education Center
We worked with a 40-year-old community environmental and education center on a rebranding initiative. The organization, celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2015, decided to use the opportunity to both commemorate past accomplishments and forge a new path forward. Over the years, their mission changed from being solely a local nature center for children and families, to providing a broader array of services related to environmental sustainability training and education for municipalities and schools. This non-profit sought our assistance in a rebranding effort to take them through the next 40 years and beyond. To accomplish this our results included:
- Extensive research with staff, board members, the general public and key stakeholders to explore renaming the organization.
- Brand re-design and re-positioning
- Working with the organization on using the 40th Anniversary celebration as an opportunity to reach out to re-engage past supporters
- Beginning new major fund raising initiatives particularly aimed at the corporate sector
